This seashell champagne flute design is created with layered shells, pearls, acrylic bead chains, UV glue, and a UV light. The key is to work slowly, attach one small section at a time, and cure each glued area before moving to the next step.
Materials You Will Need
- Champagne flute
- UV glue
- UV light
- Large seashell pieces
- Small seashell pieces
- Pearls
- Acrylic bead chain
- Ribbon bow from the DIY kit
- Tweezers or a small picker tool
How to Use the UV Light
After applying UV glue and adding a shell, pearl, or decoration, press the button on the UV light to start curing.
The light will automatically count down. Keep the glued area under the UV light until the light turns off. Once the light goes off, the UV glue should be fully cured and set.
For larger shell pieces or thicker glue areas, you can cure the same spot one more time to make sure everything is firmly attached.
Step 1: Attach the First Large Shell
1.1 Start on the lower part of the champagne flute bowl, near the bottom of the cup area. This is the rounded part of the glass, not the base.
Apply a small amount of UV glue to the glass. Place one large seashell piece onto the glue, hold it gently in place, and cure it with the UV light.
1.2 Add a small amount of UV glue on top of or next to the first large shell. Place the second large shell so that the two large shells form a 90-degree angle.
Hold the shell in place and cure it with the UV light before moving on.
1.3 Attach one small shell to the right side of the two large shells. Then attach another small shell above them.
1.4 Work one shell at a time: add a small dot of UV glue, place the shell, hold it gently, and cure with the UV light.
Step 2: Decorate the Shell Flower

The two large shells and two small shells will create a flower-like shape on the cup.
Use small dots of UV glue to add pearls around the shell flower. Cure each pearl area with the UV light until fully set.
Step 3: Add a Small Shell Near the Rim

Attach one small shell closer to the upper part of the cup, near the rim area. Do not place decorations directly on the drinking rim.
Use pearls to decorate this small shell, then cure everything with the UV light.
Step 4: Decorate the Base with Shells

Move to the base of the champagne flute. Use UV glue to attach two shell pieces as decoration on the base.
Add pearls on top of the shells, then cure each glued area with the UV light.
Step 5: Add Pearl Details Near the Stem

At the area where the glass bowl connects to the stem, add small pearl clusters as decoration.
Apply a little UV glue, place the pearls, hold them gently if needed, and cure with the UV light.
Step 8: Wrap the Acrylic Bead Chain

Take out the acrylic bead chain from your DIY kit. Add a small amount of UV glue to the beads that will touch the shell decoration on the base, then attach the chain to the shell area.
Wrap the bead chain upward around the champagne flute. Add a small amount of UV glue at the area where the bowl connects to the stem to fix the chain in place, then cure it with the UV light.
Step 9: Secure the Chain Near the Upper Shell

Continue wrapping the bead chain upward until it reaches the small shell decoration on the upper part of the cup.
Use a small amount of UV glue to secure the chain near the upper shell, then cure it with the UV light.
Step 10: Wrap the Chain Back Down

Wrap the bead chain downward again. Fix it once more at the area where the bowl connects to the stem, then continue toward the base.
Secure the chain near the shell and pearl decorations at the bottom, then cure with the UV light.
Step 11: Add the Ribbon Bow
Take the ribbon bow from your DIY kit and tie it around the stem of the champagne flute.
Adjust the bow until it looks balanced with the seashell and pearl decorations.
Tips for This Design
- Use only a small amount of UV glue each time.
- Attach one shell, pearl, or bead section at a time.
- Hold each decoration gently in place before curing.
- Wait until the UV light turns off before moving to the next step.
- Do not place decorations directly on the drinking rim.
- For larger shells or thicker glue areas, cure the same spot twice.
Your seashell champagne flute is now finished. The layered shells, pearls, bead chain, and ribbon bow create a romantic ocean-inspired design, perfect for weddings, bridal showers, engagement parties, or handmade keepsake gifts.
