Step 1: Make the Gradient Lily Petals

For each petal, prepare: 1 Lavender Violet pipe cleaner, 1 Light Lavender pipe cleaner, and 1 Pure White pipe cleaner.

Fold all three pipe cleaners in half at the center and align them together.

Next, take 1 Pure White pipe cleaner and thread it through the folded center of the three pipe cleaners. Pull it upward and twist firmly to secure all the pieces together.

Bring the twisted white pipe cleaner downward along the petal. Use the longest remaining end to wrap tightly around the bottom, securing the entire petal structure.

Gently adjust the pipe cleaners with your fingers to create a natural lily petal shape. Trim away any excess ends with scissors.

Your first gradient pipe cleaner lily petal is now complete.

Quantity: Make 6 petals for each lily.

Step 2: Make the Lily Stamens

Take 2 Deep Violet pipe cleaners (chenille stems). Cut them into approximately 4–5 shorter pieces and 1 slightly longer piece.

Carefully use a candle flame to shape the top of each piece into a pointed stamen. Leave approximately 1.5 cm (about 0.6 in) of the pipe cleaner intact near the tip.

Then carefully remove the excess fuzzy fibers from the remaining section, creating a slimmer stamen shape.

Step 3: Assemble the Gradient Lily

Take 1 floral stem and begin by attaching all of the prepared Deep Violet stamens to the top using hot glue.

Once the glue has set, gently bend the stamens outward to approximately 70–90 degrees, creating the natural open shape of a lily center.

Next, attach 3 gradient petals evenly around the floral stem. Space them apart to form a triangular arrangement when viewed from above.

Then attach the remaining 3 petals in the gaps between the first three petals. This creates an even, layered six-petal lily shape.

Once all six petals are attached, gently adjust their angles and curves until the flower looks balanced and natural.

Step 4: Wrap the Floral Stem

Take the floral tape included in your PINKYDIY DIY kit. Gently stretch a section of the tape before wrapping it around the base of the flower.

Begin wrapping at the base of the lily and continue downward along the entire floral stem, keeping the floral tape neat and slightly stretched as you go.
