How to DIY Blue Ocean Bedazzled Champagne Flutes with Rhinestones & Real Shells | Wedding Gift & Toast Glasses Tutorial

Prefer watching the full making process? Follow the video tutorial below first, then use this written guide as a step-by-step reference while you create your own blue ocean rhinestone champagne flute.

This blue ocean design is created layer by layer with UV glue, blue rhinestones, silver rhinestones, and small ocean-inspired decorations. The process feels a little like sand art: apply the glue, sprinkle the rhinestones, cure with the UV light, and repeat.

Materials You Will Need

  • Champagne flute
  • UV glue
  • UV light
  • Blue rhinestones
  • Silver rhinestones
  • Small ocean-style decorations, such as shells, pearls, or charms

How to Use the UV Light

After applying UV glue and adding rhinestones or decorations, press the button on the UV light to start curing.

The light will automatically count down. Keep the glued area under the UV light until the light turns off. Once the light goes off, the UV glue should be fully cured and set.

For thicker glue areas or larger decorations, you can cure the same spot one more time to make sure everything is firmly attached.

Step 1: Create Three Blue Triangles

Start from the lower part of the champagne flute bowl. Since the glass is round, imagine the design wrapping around the cup in a 360-degree pattern.

Use UV glue to draw three triangle shapes around the lower area of the cup. Sprinkle blue rhinestones over the glue until the triangle areas are fully covered. Cure each section with the UV light before moving on.

Step 2: Add Silver Borders Around the Triangles

After the blue triangle sections are cured, use UV glue to outline each triangle. Make the silver border about 1.5 cm wide.

Sprinkle silver rhinestones over the glued border area, then cure it with the UV light. Repeat this for all three triangle shapes.

Step 4: Add Ocean Decorations

Use UV glue to attach small decorations from your kit, such as mini shells, pearls, or ocean-inspired charms.

Place them around the rhinestone pattern wherever you like. Cure each decorated area with the UV light until fully set.

Step 5: Decorate the Base

Move to the base of the champagne flute. Use UV glue to draw a triangle shape on the glass base. You can let the triangle extend slightly upward onto the stem for a more connected look.

Sprinkle blue rhinestones over the triangle, then cure with the UV light.

Step 6: Add the Silver Border on the Base

Outline the blue triangle on the base with UV glue. Sprinkle silver rhinestones over the border, then cure again with the UV light.

Step 7: Finish with Small Decorations

Add your favorite small decorations to the base, such as shells, pearls, or charms. Cure everything one final time with the UV light.

Tips for This Design

    • Work one small section at a time.
    • Cure each rhinestone area before adding the next color.
    • Do not apply rhinestones near the drinking rim.
    • You can adjust the placement of shells and pearls to make your design unique.
    • If you want a cleaner outline, use a small tool to guide the rhinestones before curing.

Your blue ocean rhinestone champagne flute is now finished. The blue and silver rhinestones create a sparkling ocean-inspired look, while the shells and pearls add a delicate handmade detail.
